St. Jacobs Market has been running since 1977 and it’s still the most genuinely interesting farmers’ market in the country — produce from Mennonite farms, baked goods that make no sense for $3, and a level of life happening that you cannot manufacture.
After the market, the Conestogo River trail along the edge of the village is one of those hidden gems we keep finding. Flat, green, and quiet enough that you forget you spent the morning in a crowd.
