Cold water, good people, a village that time forgot.
Elora Gorge is a canyon carved by the Grand River over millennia — 25 metres of limestone walls dropping straight into whitewater. You float through it on an inflatable tube, and it is as ridiculous and perfect as it sounds. We handle the tube rental, the wetsuit, and the entry pass.
After the float, Elora’s stone-built village is one of those rare Ontario spots that doesn’t try too hard. Coffee, galleries, the kind of lunch that costs $14 and is actually incredible.
